Leo's Healthy Lunch
Leo's Healthy Lunch
Leo likes food from the freezer. He loves French fries, chocolate muffins, and fried fish. "Is all food healthy?" asks his mom. "Fried food and sugar are not good for you every day."
Leo's mom prepares a special lunch. There is rice, tomato soup, and grilled fish. There are also grapes, yogurt, and a banana. "Do you like broccoli now?" she asks. "Yes, I do! It's delicious!" says Leo.
Now Leo eats fruit and vegetables every day. He drinks water and juice, not soda. Healthy food helps him run, play, and grow strong. Is all food healthy? Not all of it — but Leo now chooses the healthy plate!

The Pendant of the Abandoned City
The Pendant of the Abandoned City
Maya loves languages. She is bilingual, and her grandmother is a native speaker of an old language. One afternoon, her grandmother told her a mysterious story about an abandoned city.
"My grandmother said that a great civilization inhabited the valley," she explained. "They could communicate with complex symbols and hieroglyphics. Their alphabet was unique."
Maya was curious. "Did they draw their words on stone?" she asked. Her grandmother told her that artists transmitted their traditions with shapes and signs. "I asked the villagers where the city was," she said. "A rumor said that the people abandoned it completely, but nobody knew the origin of the myth."
Maya wanted to know more, so she visited the valley with her class. The city was distant, but the trip was amazing. Their guide said that only a small population still inhabited the region. Maya saw symbols everywhere. Her teacher told the students that language is a treasure. "It doesn't matter if a language is common or rare," she said. "Every word is a bridge between generations."
At school, Maya started a language exchange club. She invited students to cooperate and share words in different languages. Now her friends say that learning a new language opens a door to the world. Why is language special? Because it helps us communicate, negotiate, and understand each other.
